  • I am writing to you in regards to “Ethics: Ethical Issues with Medical Errors: Shaping a Culture of Safety in Healthcare” (Sorrell, 2017). The number of deaths caused by medical errors in the United States is outrageously high, and I believe there are many things we, as nurses, can do to change that.

A new article has been posted on the previously published OJIN topic, "Nursing Technologies: Innovation and Implementation."

Practice makes perfect. Practice can also promote self-confidence in a student's abilities. In their article, "Challenges in High Fidelity Simulation: Risk Sensitization and Outcome Measurement," Onello and Regan (2013) discuss integrating High Fidelity Simulation into the framework of nursing curricula and the dangers associated with risk sensitization.
